About the debaters:
Martijn Warnier:
Martijn Warnier is an Assistant professor in the Systems Engineering Section within the Faculty of Technology, Policy and Management, Delft University of Technology. He holds a PhD in Computer Science from the Radboud University Nijmegen. After focusing on security of embedded systems, his current research is on self-management of adaptive systems, in particular on security aspects involved. He has studied security in many areas with a specific interest for robust systems in highly dynamic environments.
Thomas Quillinan:
Thomas Quillinan is a researcher at Thales Nederland B.V. in the Netherlands. He received a Ph.D., in the area of Security for Distributed Systems, and a M.Sc. in Computer Science, both from University College Cork in Ireland. He previously worked as a member of the IIDS group in the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, working in the areas of Distributed Systems Security and Crisis Management. He originally studied in the University of Limerick in Ireland, where he received an undergraduate degree in Computer Engineering. His research interests include the security of systems and Trust negotiation and management.
